Sustainable and Ethical manufacturing 

Sustainable manufacturing is the creation of products using economically-sound processes that minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. 

All the WhatYouSay clothing is made in the Continental Clothing factory in India and is designed and printed in the UK . All factory staff are provided with a safe and healthy work environment, a living wage and a legally binding contract. The manufacturing facilities are part of the Fair Wear Foundation and are regularly audited for social compliance and are running active monitoring programmes in accordance with standards advocated by the International Labour Organisation, the Ethical Trading Initiative and other international bodies.

Bamboo

This range is made from 70% bamboo viscose and 30% organic cotton and is certified organic content standard blend and the Oeko-Tex confidence in textiles.

The bamboo is PETA approved as vegan and is part of the Fair Wear Foundation which means the factory undergo annual audits to comply with the FWF Code of Labour Practices in accordance with the International Labour Organisation's conventions.

Organic Cotton

This range is made exclusively from 100% organic Indian cotton and is certified under the Global Organic Standard (GOTS). 

The organic cotton is PETA approved as vegan and is part of the Fair Wear Foundation which means the factory undergo annual audits to comply with the FWF Code of Labour Practices in accordance with the International Labour Organisation's conventions. 

The T-shirts are made in manufacturing facilities powered by green renewable energy, from low-impact raw materials. The carbon footprint of these products has been reduced by 90% and the calculations were certified under the PAS2050 standard by the Carbon Trust

Recycled Organic Cotton and Recycled Polyester

Made from 100% recycled materials this range uses 60% recycled pre-consumer organic cotton and 40% recycled post-consumer polyester.

 Cuttings from organic cotton textile production is salvaged and shredded back into soft cotton fibres. This is added to fibres made from locally recycled plastic bottles to make the cotton and polyester blend which is spun into fine yarn to make these super soft t-shirts.

This range is certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) and the Organic Content Standard (OCS) by the Control Union Certifications.
